BrokerageLoop vs Odoo for insurance brokers

You do not have to choose, and you do not need two suppliers. BrokerageLoop runs the insurance broker lifecycle; Odoo runs accounting and HR. As an Odoo partner, we set up, train and support both — so a brokerage gets one end-to-end system from one team.

One supplier, not two

A common assumption is that a brokerage running BrokerageLoop needs a separate Odoo implementer for its ledger — a second contract, a second project, a second team to call. It does not. We are an Odoo partner, and we deliver Odoo alongside BrokerageLoop: set-up, configuration, training and support for both, from the same team.

Who does what

BrokerageLoop is built around insurance objects: the policy, the endorsement, the claim with its reserves and payments, the commission split across producer, sub-broker and overrider, the insurer statement to reconcile, and a statement of account for every counterparty. The register carries a case through lead, quote, bind, policy, endorsement, renewal, claim, collection, commission, reconciliation and counterparty statement, in Arabic and English, with an append-only audit trail on every change.

Odoo Accounting is the general ledger. BrokerageLoop's accounting integration pushes invoices and payments to Odoo, verified against a live instance, so the financial record is kept once, in Odoo, rather than in two places.

Odoo HR covers four of Odoo's apps — employee records, leave, attendance and payroll — in the same Odoo instance as the accounting, so the back office sits in one place. These are Odoo's apps, running in Odoo and configured for your office; BrokerageLoop itself has no HR features.

Ready-made for Lebanon, the UAE and Saudi Arabia

A brokerage that does not use Odoo yet does not start from a blank ledger. We bring a ready-made chart of accounts and payroll set-up for Lebanon, the UAE and Saudi Arabia, validated by auditors, and configure it in Odoo alongside BrokerageLoop’s insurance modules.

Already running Odoo?

Then nothing has to be replaced. BrokerageLoop pushes invoices and payments into the Odoo instance you already use, and keeps the insurance lifecycle that sits in front of the ledger.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a separate Odoo supplier to use BrokerageLoop with Odoo?

No. We are an Odoo partner and provide Odoo Accounting and Odoo's HR apps alongside BrokerageLoop — set-up, training and support for all of it, from one team.

Can I use BrokerageLoop without Odoo?

Yes. BrokerageLoop can run on its own, with Odoo Accounting, or with Odoo Accounting and Odoo HR.

Do I need to give up Odoo to use BrokerageLoop?

No. BrokerageLoop's accounting integration pushes invoices and payments to Odoo, verified against a live instance, so the two work together.

Does BrokerageLoop do general-ledger accounting?

No. Odoo Accounting is the ledger; BrokerageLoop is the insurance-specific register that feeds invoices and payments into it.

We do not use Odoo yet. Do we have to build our chart of accounts from scratch?

No. We bring a ready-made chart of accounts and payroll set-up for Lebanon, the UAE and Saudi Arabia, validated by auditors, and configure it in Odoo alongside BrokerageLoop’s insurance modules.

Does BrokerageLoop have HR features?

No. HR runs on Odoo's own apps — employee records, leave, attendance and payroll — which we set up and support as the third option.
